Political and social justice influences woven into the school day
These posts are verified examples that concerned parents, students, teachers, and principals in Rockwood.

Example found in a Kindergarten classroom book: "A long time ago, way before you were born, a group of white people made up an idea called race. They sorted people by skin color and said that white people were better, smarter, prettier, and, that they deserve more than everybody else."

Books that have concerned parents for anti-police themes, explicit sex, gratuitous profanity, mature content, or an emphasis on race or gender ideology. This list is not exhaustive.

Books that have been removed due to a new law, as well as sexually explicit books that remain in Rockwood's libraries.

ANTI-POLICE
School books and lesson materials that portray police in a negative light.

ROCKWOOD PARENTS SPEAK OUT
Comments and concerns from the mouths of Rockwood parents. Names are not included because local parents have already been targeted on social media.

TEACHER TRAINING
Examples of teacher seminars and resources that emphasize gender ideology, racism, social justice, and negative messages about our country and its institutions, including law enforcement and schools.

INFAMOUS EMAIL
THE email that told teachers to hide controversial lesson content from parents. It made national news.

TRANSPARENCY IN ROCKWOOD
It's lacking. If Rockwood provided this information to parents and taxpayers, there would be no need for us to provide it.

This blog's content is all verified.

Every piece was provided by Rockwood parents and teachers, and includes Rockwood's own documents. Rockwood has had opportunities to address or respond to all of it. The district has offered explanation and context, which we also provide.

WHY NO NAMES OF STAFF:
In our community, we know that people will either automatically believe what we wrote because they know we wrote it, or they will automatically discredit it because they disagree with us.

That's why there are no names of writers or researchers on here. Our goal is that you see the facts in each post for what they are: documented and verifiable. You see the evidence. You decide.

Also, note: The district already does a good job letting the community know about the great things the district is doing. Parents created this site to shed light on issues about which parents and taxpayers might never know.

Thank you for taking the time to check out What's Going On in the Rockwood School District.
