“Witnessing Whiteness”
“…for people who identify as white…uncover and explore the impact of our racial identity and the operation of racism in our lives and communities…learn the history of invention of whiteness…operation of white supremacy in us and the US."
Anti-Bias; Anti-Racism Part 1
Explore an analysis of “…ways racist institutional values have been legally codified and institutionally perpetuated throughout US history..”
The idea that racism is institutional in our country is consistent with Critical Race Theory.
Anti-Bias; Anti-Racism Part 2
“So You Want to Talk about Race”
“Engaging in dialogue about race is one step towards that growth if we’re willing to see our blind spots and understand concepts like privilege, intersectionality, and microaggressions.”
Note: Those terms were also taught to students. They were explained in 8th grade language arts class lessons; the Critical Literacy unit.
