ARE UNIONS RUNNING THE SHOW IN THE ROCKWOOD SCHOOL DISTRICT?

Some of us may not typically care about school board elections, but, the unions do. And, their candidates have been winning.

Both winners in last year's school board election were endorsed by unions: the Rockwood Labor Club, the Greater St. Louis Labor Council and the Rockwood NEA.

They were also funded by labor unions.
Take a look at the donations to the right, and below. These were contributions to the campaigns for Tamara Rhomberg and Jaime Bayes.

Campaign contribution records show, all together, the two winning incumbents got more money from the unions than anywhere else.

Not a lot more, but, more.

In Rhomberg's case, there was a bigger gap. Her union donations were $2,450 compared to $1,730 from individuals.

Poll workers noticed in last year's election that Labor Club members came to the polls with their list of names of who to vote for: Bayes and Rhomberg.

A newcomer, Tamarah Wagner, chose not to take any donations and lost by a few hundred votes.

Union influence appears to be working in Rockwood, and, appears to be working around the state.
"A whopping 86% of union endorsed issues and candidates won last April."

NOTE:
Two of the 5 candidates running right now are also endorsed by the Rockwood NEA (National Education Association).

WHO'S RUNNING?
Meet the candidates. The top two, Ryan and Stine are endorsed by the RNEA.

WHO'S ON OUR CURRENT SCHOOL BOARD?

6 of Rockwood's 7 school board members are former teachers, endorsed by the teachers union, or benefited from money spent by the teachers union.
