CAN'T BLAME COVID. HIGH SCHOOL RANKINGS DOWN--AGAIN

All four Rockwood high schools have dropped in national rankings.

Note: Data used by U.S. News & World Report is always from two years prior, so, the drops are based on data from 2017, 2018 and 2019.

BEFORE Covid.

The rankings are not out yet for when Covid shut down Rockwood schools in the spring of 2020.

Of note:
3 of the 4 high schools have dropped the last two years in a row.
From 2019 to 2020, and again from 2020 to 2021.

Since 2019, all 4 have dropped in state rankings as well.
3 of the 4 dropped the last two years in a row.

With MAP scores also down across the district, many parents are concerned about what appears to be a lack of emphasis on academics. The emphasis over the last couple of years has been "diversity" and "culture" in subject matter and class assignments, in the form of anti-police themes, gender, and, identity topics.

In short, ideology; not academics.
Additionally, it is overreach into areas parents feel should be handled at home; not by the schools.
