3 OUT OF ROCKWOOD'S 4 HIGH SCHOOLS IMPROVE A BIT IN U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT RANKINGS FOR 2024; STILL DOWN FROM 5 YEARS AGO.
Those are the state rankings for Rockwood's four high schools, according to the latest information from U.S. News & World Report. These rankings are an update to the rankings released last fall, which were delayed from the previous spring.
The corresponding order for the above numbers is Lafayette, Marquette, Rockwood Summit, and Eureka High School.
THREE OUT OF FOUR
Three of Rockwood's four high schools moved up in their state ranking from last year, but all four are still lower than they were ranked five years ago, in 2019. You can see the rankings for every year since 2019, below.

MARQUETTE ONLY ONE TO NOT IMPROVE
Marquette is the only Rockwood high school that did not improve its state ranking from last year. It stayed steady at #11 in the state.

Marquette is also the only Rockwood high school that dropped in its national ranking, from 1,079 across the country last year to 1,169 this year.
ROCKWOOD SUMMIT MOST IMPROVED
The other three improved a bit, with Rockwood Summit improving the most by moving up 8 spots since last year, to be ranked #14 in the state.
