STOLEN SIGNS DENIGRATE LOCAL ELECTIONS AND POLICE ARE "RESPONDING."

Hundreds of signs have reportedly been removed by opponents or their supporters in tomorrow's election.

Tamarah Wagner is running for city council in Chesterfield.

Below, people with her opponent's sign in their car are caught on camera, taking one of Wagner's large signs.

This is at Baxter and Wildhorse Creek.

More than a dozen signs have been taken from Wagner's campaign, we're told.
"From frontage at Annie Gunns, about 10 from Wildhorse Creek, and a bigger one across from Ascension."

In these examples, the perpetrators have been adults.

Juveniles have also been involved according to Sunset Hills police.

They say they see this every year.
On Facebook, they are telling everybody to knock it off.

There is a proper procedure to take if you think a sign is placed on common ground/in the right of way. Call MoDOT to remove the sign, or call the candidate on the sign.

You are not supposed to just take them.
Izzy Imig in Rockwood and Jessica Clark had the same thing happen to them.
They are running for Rockwood school board.

The teachers union in Rockwood (RNEA) recently had to make a statement about stolen signs, after a supporter of the union's endorsed candidates was caught on video taking Izzy Imig campaign signs from yards of homeowners.

Police have been contacted in some of these instances. No legal action has taken place yet.
