BREAKING: ROCKWOOD POSTED THE LIST. 22 BOOKS WITH SEXUALLY EXPLICIT IMAGES ARE ON IT.
On the district's website, it says librarians removed the books from Rockwood's school libraries because of a new state law.
The law makes it a crime for schools to provide sexually explicit images to students and takes effect today, Sunday, August 28th.
Rockwood parents were only aware of 4 books with sexually explicit images.
But, 22 sexually explicit books were removed by librarians.

ROCKWOOD STATEMENT
The link to this statement and the removed books list |
"Rockwood closely follows any changes in state and federal legislation to ensure compliance with all applicable statutes. Missouri Senate Bill 775 (SB 775) establishes guidelines related to providing "explicit sexual materials" to a student.
Rockwood reviewed our collections in light of the new legislation. Any books that reflect what is outlined in SB 775 have been removed from district libraries by the Aug. 28 deadline. Below are the titles that were removed."
The new law only affects images; not explicit content that is written.
