LOW MAP TEST SCORES ACROSS MISSOURI: LOWERING THE BAR?

This December, we will likely know the results of the standardized MAP (Missouri Assessment Program) tests Missouri students took during the spring of 2022.

Already, Missouri has made it known that school districts won't be penalized for them.

Analysis re: Missouri isn't using its own accreditation system because schools would fail.

Less than half are proficient in English Language Arts and Science.

According to DESE, 64.6% of Missouri's students are NOT proficient in math. 
(Only 35.4% are proficient or above.)

54.8% are NOT proficient in English Language Arts.
(Only 45.3% are proficient or above.)

62.9% are NOT proficient in Science.
(Only 37.2% are proficient or above.)
