ROCKWOOD LIBRARY BOOK EXPLAINS SEXTING, SHOWS KIDS HOW TO MASTURBATE, AND ENCOURAGES ONLINE COMMUNICATION WITH STRANGERS. IT'S YET ANOTHER GRAPHIC NOVEL THAT COULD MEAN JAIL TIME FOR SCHOOL PERSONNEL.
It's at least the 4th graphic novel found in Rockwood school libraries that, if given to students, could lead to criminal charges starting this Sunday.
Graphic novel means the content is told through comic book style images.
The images in "Let's Talk About It..." show sex acts, masturbation, and post pubertal genitals, which are referenced specifically in the new law.
The book also encourages researching "kinks" and "fantasies" on the internet and talking to strangers online about the fantasies.

WHAT ARE SCHOOL DISTRICTS DOING ABOUT IT?
According to Assistant Superintendent of Learning and Support Services Dr. Shelly Willott, Rockwood librarians are currently reviewing the district's library books to identify and remove books that contain images that meet the legal definition of explicit sex. This is also taking place in other districts in Missouri.
Willott says Rockwood will post a list on its website of any books they remove. She says the list will be online by the time the law takes effect Sunday.

Those who could face jail time include teachers, librarians, administrators, or anyone associated with the schools that provides the book to students.
