ROCKWOOD'S BOARD OF EDUCATION TOOK ACTION AGAINST ONE OF ITS OWN LAST NIGHT

Rockwood's school board voted Thursday night to take Jessica Clark off the committees to which she was assigned. The action took place during its regularly scheduled public meeting.

It was the culmination of the public backlash from Clark's comments at a recent event.

Some in the community have accused Clark of making disparaging comments toward LGBTQ students and said she mocked a disabled student.

Others, including Clark, have pointed out she didn't mock anyone; instead, she was speaking about the lengths parents have gone to, to disparage Clark.

Rockwood's Board of education also sent out this statement regarding Jessica Clark's comments.
