ST. LOUIS COUNTY EXECUTIVE RACE

Mark Mantovani is looking to oust Sam Page. 

Page is controversial because he shut down businesses, halted student sports, and influenced schools toward virtual learning, which led to a plummet in standardized test scores.

Note: State Senate candidate Ben Brown is a business owner who took Page to court. The judge in the case ruled Page could not legally mandate such shut downs on his own. Brown is running in senate district 26.


MO AMENDMENTS AT A GLANCE

Amendment 1:
Overrides current restrictions on state investments. 

Amendment 3:
Amends Missouri's constitution to legalize recreational marijuana.
Appoints an equity officer to manage getting information to "communities impacted by marijuana prohibition."

Note: Criticized by people both for and against legalizing marijuana.

Amendment 4:
Increases minimum funding for police.

Amendment 5:
Makes Missouri's National Guard its own agency that reports directly to the governor.
