"DISTURBING SCREENSHOT" BRIEFLY CAUSES CONCERN IN ROCKWOOD
UPDATE: This is the screenshot, as seen on Snapchat.
Eureka High School parents got an email and text this morning alerting them to a concerning screenshot on social media that required law enforcement involvement.
The email, from the school's principal, is seen below. It describes the screenshot as a "laptop with boxes of ammunition" with text that reads, "Back to school shopping complete."
The email also states law enforcement identified the origin of the post and assured administrators there is no threat to the school.
This comes after last week's email about an incident also at Eureka High School. That email alerted parents to a video circulating on social media that was described as showing signs on bathroom stall doors that said "white toilet" and "colored toilet."
That email states that the district stands firmly against any and all forms of racism.
In what appears to be an effort to crack down on inappropriate behavior at school, Eureka High School does not allow students to freely use bathrooms. They are required to wear a lanyard that gives them permission to do so.
Here's this morning's email about the laptop and ammunition:
