MISSOURI SENATORS END THIS LEGISLATIVE SESSION A DAY EARLY AND SKIP VOTING ON EDUCATION BILLS THAT ROCKWOOD PARENTS CARE ABOUT.

Today should have been the last day of Missouri's legislative session.

Instead, it was yesterday.

This first image is from legislation they are skipping out on, that had been proposed to address Critical Race Theory in schools.

Senators voted last night to only handle the redistricting maps and be done. That means they voted to stop discussing education legislation that many parents care about more. (Legislation that already made it through the house.)

CRT IS HOTLY CONTESTED

The Critical Race Theory issue has been hotly contested by people who say:

It's NOT in our schools.
Who say it SHOULD BE in our schools.
Who say it IS in our schools and DOESN'T BELONG there.

Legislation addressing the issue was in an amendment in the Parents Rights Bill, also known as House Bill 1858.

Here's more on the legislation related to CRT in Missouri schools.

SEE CRT FOR YOURSELF

To see what IS in Rockwood, check out our Quick Glance charts that show how CRT influences teachers and students, and specifically where that influence was found.

The only option left, for the CRT and other education legislation to be considered, is a special session.
